Back in August (I think - my sense of time seems skewed these days!) I took a leap of faith (in myself) and tested for the white garter (think the karate black belt system but with much cuter accessories) with a friend of mine at the gym. I get a little nervous when I'm not 100% confident about something (and is it possible to be 100% confident about anything?) and needless to say I was a tad bit worried that I might fail the test even though I knew I was capable of performing everything on it... I need to get over my stage fright! Anyway.. you can see from the picture here that I passed, it all went fine and dandy and as a reward I bought myself a pole :-) OK- the two really weren't entirely tied together but it did happen not long after I passed the test -- I decided this wasn't just a passing whim of mine anymore... that I actually love challenging myself on the pole and that a shiny gold pole would be the perfect centerpiece to my basement. Now to finish decorating ... what else does a pole room need... so far I'm thinking I need: 1. more mirrors! 2. some mood lighting 3. Some kind of lounge-like seating ....
I'll post some pole room pics as I get it together.. if anyone out there is reading this I would also love any suggestions!
